Florida: Dinner Shows in Orlando

Dinner Shows – I love dinner shows and we’ve found a surprising number of them in the area! If you know of more then I’d love to hear about them.

We haven’t attended all of these, but are making our way through them:

  • Titanic Exhibit Gala Dinner. We’ve done this one twice now and really like it. They do a good job of making it a fun but educational “show”. As part of the dinner, you’ll walk through parts of the exhibit but you won’t have time to see it all. We went early both times so that we had time to see the exhibits before the evening event kicked off. When you check in, you’re given a card that has information about someone on the Titanic. That will be your character for the evening. There’s a pre-show short happy hour with drinks (you have to pay for them) and a few appetizers. The standard dinner fare includes rolls, salad, soup, a main course of chicken and beef, and then a dessert.

  • Pirates Dinner Adventure – I haven’t attended this one yet in Orlando but we went to the one in California and thought it was great fun.

  • Teatro Martini – I love Teatro Zinzanni in Seattle and had hoped this would be like that one, but it isn’t. It’s still a fun show but it’s more of a tourist experience whereas Teatro Zinzanni is a show I could go to over and over again. The food at Teatro Martini is okay but nothing to get excited about. And I only had one drink the whole night because the wait-staff was in the show and rarely had time to visit our table.

  • Medieval Times – I haven’t attended this one yet in Orlando but have been in other states and I’m assuming it’s the same.

  • Capone’s – a gangster themed show. They are offering 50% off of tickets online right now so you can get them pretty cheap. The VIP tickets are only about $10 more than normal tickets. This is the only dinner show I know of that includes alcohol as part of your ticket, but you will have a limited selection — the unlimited drink selection included beer, house wines, and a few specific cocktails.  Their food was good but nothing fancy (I had cheese sticks and lasagna). The people next to us sent theirs back as it was cold. I did like the way they set up the tables (family style in a large table) as we got to meet a few new people.

  • Hoop de do Music Revue – we met people at the Titanic dinner gala who told us this is their favorite dinner show. We’re going in a few weeks and hope it’s as good as they said it would be. It’s at the Disney Fort Wilderness Resort.

  • Country Nights – this one is pretty new in town and the reviews are pretty bad, but they have a 50% off fall discount that seems to still be going on so we’re going to try it out soon. It’s a country-themed show complete with fried chicken and ribs.
  • Polynesian Fire Luau — this dinner show wasn’t one I had heard of until a TripAdvisor ad came up about it. We tried it out last weekend. It’s a buffet dinner with Polynesian music, dancing, and fire twirling.
