Somewhere Between Overpacked and Unprepared: Packing Lessons from 30 Years of Travel
After decades of travel — from Antarctica to West Africa — I’ve slowly learned that packing well has less to do with packing light and more to do with packing thoughtfully. This post isn’t a checklist of “must bring” items. It’s the practical, occasionally ridiculous, experience-based lessons that came from years of forgotten chargers, overheated safari camps, rough roads, surprise weather, and trying to figure out what actually deserves space in the suitcase.
